India“A country steep in culture, religion, strange sounds, and odd smells.” There is little Christian influence and it is mostly to the south. We are in a joint ministry of evangelism and church growth with The God Heavenly Gospel Ministry located on the eastside of Andhra Pradesh State. As we travel to the villages, most have never seen Americans. Usually, we are the first to tell them about Jesus. We begin with a visit or a meal and invite everyone to attend. We return in the evening and show the “Jesus film” or the “Passion of the Christ” with great response. Many have come to Christ and followed in baptism. The commitment to follow Christ is a high price to pay for these people. They are ostracized and treated terribly by the government and other religions. Please pray for these as Christ prayed in John 17:20 “…for all those who will ever come to believe in Me…” We always find many children in great need. Not for new toys or new clothes, but the basic things that give life; food, water, shelter and supervision. Our partners there support many homeless or orphaned children and they need our continued prayer and support. We normally travel with teams in the early part of the year.
